Finished With Chemo!

Tiffany's Last Chemo!
Tiffany's back at CHOC, starting her last session of chemotherapy today. We're excited for her to start recovering from this one (the last day of treatment should be Monday).
For the past seven chemos, her body gets hit hard initially (blood cell counts drop, hair falls out, etc.), then starts to recover - only to get hit with chemo again in a few weeks. This time will be really nice in that Tiffany can keep healing!

Bracelets!

Jeanette and Jennifer made these bracelets partially as a fundraiser for Tiffany - feel free to donate (it's optional!). They intend to use the money to either give Tiffany a "reward" as she recovers - something like an outing or trip - or to add to her college fund. Tiffany is so sweet that she said she wants to donate half to CHOC (Children's Hospital of Orange County)!

Blood Transfusion
Tiffany's red blood cells and white cells were both low, so yesterday she had to go in to get another blood transfusion. She arrived at CHOC at 10:00 AM and they told her there would be a delay - something with the computers being down. Poor Tiffany had to wait all day, until 9:00 PM, to start her transfusion! Receiving blood takes a few hours, so she didn't get out of there until midnight.

C is for Cookie

Tiffany made some delicious chocolate chip cookies at our house. The only problem with them was not her fault - I (Matt) let them cook too long. Sorry, Tiffany - they were still good!Gitte had fun at the park, maybe a little too much fun (I see you in the picture, looking at her like she's a weirdo for laughing so much!)

Lookin' Good!
Tiffany is finished with her next-to-last chemo, and will come home tomorrow. She just had a CAT scan, where they look to see if any tumor(s) show up in her body, and the only thing showing up is where her original tumor was, and that is much smaller! Tomorrow she's going to have a different test called a PET scan - another way of looking for cancerous cells. We have our fingers crossed for that one to look good too.
